![]() I've tried reinstalling the RAM multiple times, but to no avail. I have used a 16GB HyperX 2400MHz kit and a Crucial 16GB 2400 MHz kit so I know my system could not be the issue. RAM 16. Max Bandwidth DDR4-2132 (1066 MHz) Part Number CMU16GX4M2C3200C16. ![]() Oh well then I guess that'll be a slight annoyance in the future. I've used everything from userbenchmark to Cpu-Z to Speccy. Mine also shows as Unknown in Windows Task Manager, but CPU-Z (SPD Tab) properly identifies it. I'm not planning to use this RAM in the system I'm testing it in (which is my own main system) but it's the only DDR4 system I have currently. mjslakeridge : Try using CPU-Z to identify the specifics of the RAM. Achieving more than 2Gbps per pin and consuming less power than DDR3L (DDR3 Low Voltage), DDR4 provides up to 50 percent increased performance and bandwidth while decreasing the power consumption of your overall computing environment. (The CPU temperature that Speccy displays is incorrect, but Speccy often does this on other systems too so it's not a hardware defect and my cooling is fine.) DDR4 delivers higher performance, higher DIMM capacities, improved data integrity and lower power consumption. I've attached screenshots of everything I mentioned. So anyway, I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool and it came back clean. ![]() With my current issue it does say dual channel in Speccy. In that case it was also showing up in the BIOS but not in Windows, and in speccy it was showing up but it was saying single channel, eventhough I installed it in dual channel. I had a similar occurance once before, but that was DDR3 and the problem ended up being that I was using AMD-optimized RAM on an Intel system. I've built a lot of PC's from used parts so I have a lot of experience. Another option is to locate the key and set the value to 10 Decimal. ![]() uncheck all the options and then recheck CPU and GPU, if you got a message after checking GPU saying that the TDR delay is too low then click yes to let AIDA64 fix it and then reboot the system. When I go into the BIOS it shows 16GB, and in Speccy (a program for viewing all system specs in one place) it shows 16GB. open AIDA64 and open the Stress test tool. I recently bought a Corsair kit of 2x 8GB DDR4 2666 Vengeance LPX memory (I bought it used) but in Windows it's only showing 8GB. ![]()
